Small-group in-person masterclass for Y12 students moving into Y13 in Woking, Surrey
DATE:
19th August 2026
TIME:
9:30am - 2:00pm
COST:
£50 per place
Research Methods is the topic that trips up more A Level Psychology students than any other, and it runs through all three exam papers. This focused four-hour masterclass is designed to change that. You will leave with a clear, confident understanding of the material rather than a vague hope that it won't come up.
WHAT WE COVER
Hypotheses and operationalising variables
Research design and evaluation
Ethics in psychological research
Inferential statistics and data interpretation
Data handling: types, graphs, and numbers
Evaluating studies in the exam
Why is this masterclass different?
· Places are capped at 20, so you get genuine teaching — not a lecture hall. You can ask questions, work through problems, and leave actually understanding the material.
· The session is taught by a specialist AQA Psychology examiner with over 20 years of experience — which means you learn exactly what the examiner is looking for, not just the content.
· Four hours focused on one topic. No cramming. No skimming. Just proper time to go deep on the area that makes the most difference to your marks.
Who is this for?
· Students who have completed Y12 and are moving into Y13 in September
· Students who found Research Methods difficult in Y12 and want to consolidate before Y13
· Students who feel uncertain about statistics or evaluating studies
· Students who want to get ahead before the new term starts
BOOK YOUR PLACE
The masterclass is held in the seminar room of the United Reform Church in Woking. This is less than 5 minutes walk to the town centre and the station, and Heathside Crescent Car Park is right next door.
Payment is taken at the time of booking. A minimum of 5 bookings is required for the event to go ahead. In the unlikely event this is not reached by 12 August 2026, the masterclass will be cancelled and a full refund issued.
